Be confident with numbers

There has been a lot of coverage in the media about challenging public perceptions around Maths, especially the idea that we think it is acceptable not to be good at maths. As a society we are apparently more reluctant to tell people if we can not read or write but are more comfortable with sharing our difficulties and dislike of maths. It would be fantastic if we could start a revolution at Harriers and support all our children to be confident with numbers. Children do not hate maths – they hate being confused and embarrassed. With more understanding comes passion and that is what we are here for at Harriers.
